
This script, in an earlier draft form, was awarded a "top 10%" in the 2000 Nicholl Fellowship. The Fellowship is a an international screenplay competition put forth by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (The Oscars), and is known throughout the movie industry as one of the most important and influential competitions in the entire world. They recieve over 6000 entries every year.
The 2nd draft of this feature length screenplay was a semi-finalist in the 1999 Chesterfield Writer's Project. This international screenplay competition was created by Steven Spielberg and Amblin Entertainment, and is presently co-ordinated through Paramount Pictures. It is considered one of the top amateur screenplay competitions in the world.
